For schools in Victoria and across Australia

Free cyber security education for Australian schools.

Free monthly webinars are coming soon: William Fleming will host a practical free webinar each month for Australian school leaders and technology teams. Join the free Two Swords community and get free access to every webinar resource he publishes.

01 — The school wakes up

One login. Then hundreds. Then thousands of connections.

A school does not just hold data — it holds lives in detail.

  • Attendance, wellbeing and health information
  • Family details, payments and staff records
  • EdTech platforms, suppliers and remote access
  • Devices and accounts moving between home and school
  • Where did it go?
  • Who can see it now?
  • Who still has access?

02 — Incidents rarely arrive with sirens

One identity. Many doors.

Illustrative scenario — not a report from a real school.

  • Inboxreachable
  • Shared filesreachable
  • Student systemsreachable
  • Supplier portalsreachable
  • Backupsreachable

One identity can open many doors

What was accessed? Who has the authority to act? Can teaching continue while it is sorted out?

03 — The two layers

Not a promise that nothing gets through. The ability to act before it becomes harm.

Reduce what is easy to reach

Reinforce the accounts, systems and pathways that matter most.

Detect suspicious activity early

See the weak signal while it is still small.

Support rapid containment

A calm boundary, not a locked-down school.

Report and improve

Known roles, clear next steps, learning continues.

Understand · Deploy · Detect · Report — the right things, in the right order.

The strongest security is the security that lets the day continue.

Two Swords Security is an independent security consulting firm helping schools understand risk, run managed detection with trusted partners and build student cyber resilience.

The offer

Two layers of protection.

One layer defends the school. The other builds resilience in the students. Together, they address both the operational security of the school and the cyber judgement students need.

Layer 01

Managed cyber defence for the school

Managed detection using Huntress technology, configured around the staff identities, endpoints and systems in your school's agreed scope.

  • Designed to detect suspicious activity early and support rapid containment
  • Hamilton Tech supports technical deployment and configuration
  • Two Swords remains your named adviser, keeping the relationship and reporting clear
  • Proposed ongoing reporting: a one-page green / amber / red summary with practical next steps

No security service can prevent every incident. This is about seeing problems while they are still small.

Layer 02

Student cyber resilience

K–12 cyber resilience learning delivered through HackersJack, so students build judgement rather than just following rules.

  • Scams and phishing in language students actually use
  • Cyberbullying and respectful use of technology
  • Sextortion awareness and knowing where to get help
  • Age-appropriate pathways across primary and secondary years

Practical education that strengthens student decision-making. It is not a guarantee of safety.

Who does what: Two Swords Security is an independent security consulting firm and owns the advice, relationship and reporting. Hamilton Tech supports technical deployment and configuration. Huntress and HackersJack are the platforms used to deliver each layer.

How it works

  1. 01

    Understand and agree scope

A conversation about your environment, your IT capacity and what matters most — then a written scope you approve.

    Two Swords

  2. 02

    Deploy and configure

Huntress technology is rolled out and tuned to the agreed scope, working with your existing IT arrangements.

    Hamilton Tech, with Two Swords

  3. 03

    Detect and support containment

The service is designed to surface suspicious activity early, with support to contain it and clear advice on what to do next.

    Huntress platform + partners

  4. 04

    Report and improve

A proposed one-page green / amber / red summary for leadership, plus the next sensible step — not a backlog of alerts.

35+ years

35+ years in technology and nearly two decades inside education — including senior security leadership across Victorian Government school environments.

Your school does not need more fear. It needs a clear way forward.

Independent schools hold some of the most sensitive information in the community, run complex environments and often have a small technology team carrying it all.

Telling schools to “do more cyber security” is not a strategy.

Two Swords Security starts with what is actually in your environment, agrees a scope that fits your capacity and budget, and puts protection and student learning in place in a way principals and business managers can follow.

What working together looks like

  • A first conversation and a plain review of your current environment
  • A staged plan matched to your budget and IT capacity — not a wish list
  • Ongoing managed detection with regular, readable reporting
  • A named advisor to call when something looks wrong

Advisory work — cyber security risk assessment, security strategy and roadmap, and incident readiness — is available alongside the two layers where a school needs it.
